See also Homebrew-ware BSGPSPDA  - same sort of thing but with OSM tile maps
(zoom 10 to 17) displaying current location. Works and has produced gpx
tracks that have been uploaded to JOSM

I recently found this software in the wiki:

Could be interesting for everbody using a PDA with Windows Mobile for
mapping. The software is in early development stage but worth a try.
