[OSM-talk] Standard height of bridges

Morwen asks in the users' diary if there is a [UK] national maximum vehicle height.  I found a reference on the Nottinghamshire County Council web site  http://www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/home/traffic_and_travel/roads/highwayshelpline/bridges.htm that says that the minimum height of a bridge over a road is 5.03m (16'6") - below that it needs a sign as a low bridge.
