I do have the OSM files (before and after), unfortunately its around 8+
mb (I don't think my dial-up or the list can attach that big files).

Looking at the the new download, the validation plugin says that there
are no duplicate nodes anymore.  So I assume it has deleted them
already.

>From what I remember, the progress bar during upload says, all ways are
changed before deletion of nodes.  412 error occurs when all the ways
have been changed.
