[OSM-talk] Undelete and revert

Hello all,

You can now undelete and revert ways with Potlatch.

This isn't a "Potlatch session" thing - it's real OSM editing
history. If you deleted a way (whether in Potlatch, JOSM, Merkaartor,
or whatever), you can now get it back. If you or someone else fouled
up a way, you can now revert to the earlier version.

== Undelete ==

- Open Potlatch
- Go to the area you want
- Press 'U' for undelete
- The deleted ways will show up in red ("locked ways")
- To undelete one, select it, click the padlock by the way ID to
unlock, then deselect to upload as usual

== Revert/history ==

- Select the way in question
- Press 'H' for history
- A dialogue box will appear with the history in a pop-up menu
- Choose the version you want and click the 'Revert' button
- The old way will load
- As usual, deselect it to upload, or Esc to cancel your changes

Please be gentle, and let me know if it's not doing what you expect.
I know (pace the JOSM thread) the UI isn't obvious yet, that'll come
in time.

Thanks to TomH for reindexing the database tables so undelete works,
and to everyone for their patience while the database was offline as
a result.

cheers
Richard
