[OSM-talk] using areas and/or nodes for citys/towns, car parks, etc.?

Wow, a third variant to do it. I suppose you mean
boundary=administrative, right?

But, in my eyes, this variant conflicts with what is described on
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/OSM_tags_for_routing#City.

Also, http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/Key:boundary doesn't
mention a word about cities, towns, hamlets and the like...

And if we use boundary for that, why do we then allow to tag areas as
places?
