[OSM-talk] srtm2shp - Shapefiles from SRTM contours - new version

Hello everyone,

There is now a new version of the srtm2shp utility which generates shapefiles of SRTM contours in the OSM SVN repository (under utils/srtm2shp). It only has one dependency - shapelib.

This version should work anywhere across the world, in contrast to earlier versions which were a bit of a mess and only worked in the UK. So if you're interested in creating a Freemap-like site for your own country, this is a good place to start.

Main todo is dealing with SRTM voids in mountainous areas.
