another idea would be to implement geo-located mapping issue tracking
system, to allow reporting errors in osm data for a specific location.
brief outline:
-main site includes a link "found an error in the map"
-brief explanation how user can fix it by himself
-show existing issues on his last map
-point & click creation of a new mapping issue
osm editors in the area could check the issue in same page or in JOSM
(new "issues" layer), or they could be listed as "issues near you" on
their page, similar to nearby users.
to avoid reimplementing whole issue tracking system (statuses,
notifications, comments...) it might make sense to use trac (osm
already uses one) or bugzilla for the core work, just ad geo-location
to every issue.
other ideas?
greets,
Stefan
