[OSM-talk] Nature Trails (was: No_comments=yes)

Hi,

I think we really need to have something like superways to integrate  
properly bus routes, nature trails and such into OSM. Just because  
they are really an abstraction, a logical thing that would be  
overlayed on the actual streetmap. The idea of superways has been  
around for a while, I guess we should also reconsider what a way is.  
I see it to be closer to the physical feature much like a super  
segment that would hold the number of lanes, if it's a bridge or not,  
etc. While the superway holds the reference number, the highway  
status, bus routes, etc.
Just my 2 cents. Actually there's a lot of trails around my place  
that I'd like to get into OSM, I already mapped the actual paths but  
there's no proper way to put the suggested trails without it being  
kind of hackish.
Again, the nature trails references (color, etc) are probably quite  
different from a country to another. If some people are ready to  
discuss that and try to find a tag scheme that could suit all, I  
would be happy to set up a page on the wiki to hold the different  
countries references scheme from what we could work out something.  
Even if we can't properly map it yet, it will be ready for when we  
can and I don't think that would much a waste of time.
