Here is a screenshot of a simple application using the JXMapViewer
configured to use the tile.openstreetmap.org tileserver.

And here is a screenshot of a different demo I made. This shows you
the kinds of things you can easily do with the JXMapViewer and
JXMapKit (two components in SwingLabs). Since this is all done in
Swing you could use this as an application or an applet, or embed it
in your own program very easily.

So what are the terms of use of tile.openstreetmap.org? I know that
the mapping data is under the Creative Commons license, but what
about the terms of use for the tile server itself?
