[OSM-talk] Dupe node seg problem

I have had a tremendous problem with this, you can blame me, or you could 
fix the problem by having the database figure out and identify when 
duplicates are trying to be added. Currently it shows a less than rigorous 
approach to quality and introducing of errors which only compounds with 
numbers of users and amount of data already added and over time. (the data 
which may not be visited again for a loooong time and is already broken and 
may ultimately have to be cleaned up on your end).
The time saved in not reworking would probably treble the amount of data I 
(and perhaps others) could have added to the OSM database. For example most 
of yesterday was spent fixing this problem. Another problem I find 
frustrating is The abililty of segments to belong to multiple ways, or v.s. 
(which is interpreted by the online map as not being a way often) Too bad if 
I had not cleared my way selection, or thought I had, when starting in on a 
new way creation. This is how I spend another day this week trying to fix by 
deleting segments and/ or remaking ways (with mixed success)! I had a lot of 
other good data to add but collection is piling up in a backlog.
      I apologise in advance for being a nudge but I though it was 
important.
