This is where assignment would be good.

Alternatively, get people to agree to OSM getting the attribution. This is
possible under the existing licence:

BY-SA 2.5 4.c

"[...] if the Original Author and/or Licensor designate another party 
or parties
(e.g. a sponsor institute, publishing entity, journal) for attribution in
Licensor's copyright notice, terms of service or by other reasonable 
means, the
name of such party or parties;[...]"

So when people upload tracks get them to agree to something like:

"You agree to designate OSM for attribution under clause 4.c of the 
BY-SA under
license and waive the right to individual attribution under this clause."

This seems unfair compared to the ability to use maps as illustrations for
textual articles without trigerring copyleft but is probably true.

You have to display a minimal textual block for the license. IIRC you 
have to do
similar with licenced OS map data.
