This was added in the 2.5 version of CC-BY-SA (also known as CC-wiki)


If works is done to change our license, I'm in favor of a real simple 
license in plain English. Even with "real layer"(c)(tm) help, we will 
never have a license valid worldwide. And anyway, OSM will never sue 
anybody. So why bother with the layer technical stuff ?

Some are in favor of PD. I prefer a minimal license (with attribution) 
to allow the use of our data without legal headache, and a 
dual-licensing in CC-BY-SA for those who want to have a real legal text 
to read.
