It already works that way for me [in kmail] - "reply" goes to the mailing list 
by default.  Do you have to tell your email program that your OSM folder 
contains a mailing list, or can it just look for the mailing list headers?

There are also "reply to author", "reply to mailing list" buttons, which you 
get by holding down the "reply" icon. (may be labelled differently in your 
email client)
