That's effectively what I'm suggesting too. I'd make explicit that the
'default' namespace (blank) would allow any key in it to have any
value (thus retaining the current functionality).

I was suggesting that the namespace vocabularies could also be edited
through a mediawiki template, which might be quite cool, but is by no
means neccessary.

Once you sort that, you can output in whatever XML style you like;
XSDable if that floats your boat, RDF triples, namespaced nodes, etc.,
etc.
