Well; yes I did; But that was not really the point. I only wanted to point out
that you can really speed up and improve your effeciency by using the right
tools. So I would encourage everyone to use osmfilter or something similar.
osmfilter is not really a sparkler in programming, but for my needs and with
a little bit of training and testing I think tools like this can be really
handy. I know it's a little bit of work and reading to get osmfilter up and
running. But in the meantime you can try installing gpsdrive-svn.deb and you
should have osmfilter installed. After this it shouldn't be too hard to get
the rest up and running. I would love to see also others to improve the
filter capabilities of osmfilter.

Well it was done in some concentrated sessions of single afternoons/evenings
spending in front of flimmering nodes and segments. Most of the time it took
was preprocessing all files in a batch-run with osmfilter. After this it
takes normally not too long to correct and adapt the converted tracks. And
then I can upload the resulting nodes and segments to the osm-server.

Yes it was hard work, but with the propper tools it was comparably easy.

I saw that :-)
Well, as already said, it's nice to see I'm in the current top 10:-) But
that's not the most motivating thing. The most motivating thing is, seeing
that it's getting more and more people contributing to the osm-project. And
that I already managed to get one or the other addicted to mapping after
lending them one of my GPS for a little time ;-) Maybe i can increase my
adiction rate a little bit in the future ;-)
