The barrier to entry is to just prove your point. It's that simple.

Please come back with timings showing your schema is faster than mysql
as it stands.

The current schema and all the code is in subversion. Nick or
osm.org/munin will give you machine setup. If you want a dev account,
ask nick. Later this week I'll get some usage stats.
