That's pretty much correct. For converting the current applet to use the javascript api, we can safely do that in lower-case asap :) ie not urgent, but long term desired.

Java 1.6 has a javascript runtime built in. Has anyone had a chance to 
play with it? (I was thinking we could use it to load the yahoo js, 
provide override the image display functions, and use this to grab the 
images. However, I don't know if that sort of thing is possible with the 
Java 1.6 JS stuff)

Yahoo want us to use the javascript, and not call the images directly. 
However, to get something working, they said we could access the tiles 
from the applet directly. As I understand it, that's with the assumption 
that we will start using the javascript from the applet ASAP, and won't 
have anything else using the images directly - any futher uses will all 
use the javascript.

Mikel - have I remembered the above correctly?
