[OSM-talk] SRTM contours on Mapnik map

Have just now managed to render a Mapnik map containing SRTM contours. 
Contours were converted from .hgt to shapefile using a custom program (things 
like the gdal converter didn't seem to accept .hgt as input so I figured it 
would be easier to tweak my existing srtm generator to output shapefile 
rather than PNG).

Comments on colour scheme of contours welcome - am trying to get something 
like the OS landranger mapss.

Expect some news re. the Freemap renderer, and tools to auto-generate mapnik 
maps, soon (the code is a bit of a mess ATM...)
