i was looking into this a while a go, in order to show a playing video 
next to an a slippy map that shows the location. of course, i did not 
get to the really practical stuff :)

i think dv has start/stop datetimes for (all?) frames. so you should be 
able to correlate those timestamps with gps locations. even after 
editing the dv.
