[OSM-talk] My problem or everybody's problem?

Hoi!

It seems to come from Potlatch, after all. It seems to leave insulated
points when you click here and there to try it out (I guess it's quite a
normal behavior for a newbie).

In my area I had three such orphans; the segment had probably originated by
something I did with JOSM on the area, lately. In the end I had to delete
the whole area and start again, now it seems to be okay.

One side note. Potlatch is great for such jobs, but it does miss three
things:
1) the possibility to insert a new node into a segment (required to better
follow a coastal line)
2) the possibility to grab and move the underlying area, so you can enlarge
your mapped lake/river/sea
3) a predefined Natural set of attributes

Or maybe it's dumb me who doesn't know how to do it.
