Thanks. It took a while for me to find this: I'd no idea all this user
management and diary stuff existed until I realised my user name is a link,
and that by substituting the name of the person I wanted to send a message
to in the url I got a send message link.

HOWEVER, when I tried to send a message, I got:

Application error
Change this error message for exceptions thrown outside of an action (like
in Dispatcher setups or broken Ruby code) in public/500.html


Oops! What gives? I'll submit a trac report for this.

Can someone (Martijn?) try sending me a message in this way (at
http://www.openstreetmap.org/user/davidearl)
