[OSM-talk] Graphical Stats updated

I just updated the graphical stats page:

Which really shows the dramatic increase in the number of active users over
the last few months. It also shows the signs since the beginning of this
month of a discernable increase in the trend for the number of registered
users. The project is getting noticed again :-)

 

Note that because the gpx re-import has not completed there the gpx data is
totally incorrect (although its accurate for what's in the database at the
moment presumably). Also note that the node data still includes deleted
nodes.

 

I have not updated the users table, the data was somewhat unreliable anyway.

 

In future it might be better to collect the stats per week from planet. That
would allow us to collect statistics data for users more accurately as well
(assuming we have no plans for the moment to get this info live from the
server). However the planet file does not as yet hold the attribution data.
Perhaps someone could modify the planet dump script to include the
attribution data. I'm sure it will get deployed if someone does.
