[OSM-talk] precondition fails

Still getting a lot of precondition fails so that leads me to try and delete 20-30 miles worth of river bank. However, trying to delete the possibly offending feature leads to failure as deletions are also precondition fails. I'm stalled out now with the idea that mayby I didn't nead to attempt a deletion (perhaps there is another problem) or maybe I didn't delete aggresively enough. I have upgraded to the latest JOSM. Any ideas?
