Thanks, I tried the svn version of mapstraction earlier but still 
couldn't get it working. I think it may be a problem with ym4r's code, 
as it looks like the osm part of ym4r is not finished (looks like it is 
some cross between google and osm).

However I wasn't sure if the osm support was ready or not - now that I 
know it should work I will see if I find where the problem lies.
