[OSM-talk] Looking for data before August 2006

Hi,

    the earliest planet file on planet.openstreetmap.org is 16 August  
2006. I would like to have a small number of earlier snapshots. A  
dump of all nodes would be sufficient.

Does anybody have that kind of data lying around?

If all else fails, I'll retrieve the history of all nodes present in  
the 16 August 2006 dump from the API and synthesize a few earlier  
planet dumps that way, but before I do that I thought I'd ask around.

My script for automatically creating "history animations" is almost  
finished (result preview here: http://openstreetmap.gryph.de/de.gif -  
the final version will let you select bounding box, background, time  
range, and colours as desired). But what I'm really missing is some  
pre-August data.
