[OSM-talk] Who deleted my ways / history not working?

Hi,

    I just found that some large forest areas I entered weeks ago have 
been deleted; the segments are still there, but the ways are gone. From 
an old savefile I found out two of the affected way IDs: 4252578 and 
4293630.

When I try to access them manually through the API, I get a 404 Not Found:

The requested URL /ruby/api/0.3/multi.rb was not found on this server.

I guess that's the normal error message when something has been deleted?

When I try to access a history 
(http://www.openstreetmap.org/api/0.3/way/4252578/history), I get a 500 
Internal Server Error (the same with existing ways). Is that a known 
bug? I checked the wiki API page, and it says that there is supposed to 
be a history function for ways.
