Note that the plugin interface is not stable. It would probably be a
good idea for plugin creators to indicate the version they created
with, as JOSM regularly breaks things in newer versions.

Hence, sometimes you get exceptions when doing ordinary things...The
only option is to convince the plugin creator to update the plugin (at
which point it stops working for people using stable...).
