Bit peripheral, but if anyone is using Illustrator or plans to (or faces
moving from Freehand to Illustrator due to Adobe-Macromedia merge) they
might be interested in a workshop the Society of Cartographers (SOC) is
running next month. It is exceedingly good value too, compared to
commercial training course prices. Available to non-members of the
Society. Full details at the weblinks below.
Cheers

Society of Cartographers (SOC) - Adobe Illustrator/FreeHand Workshop
This is a great opportunity for cartographers to attend a one-day
Workshop on Tuesday 12 June 2007 at Coventry University, UK.
The workshop will be ideal for anyone who is proposing to migrate to
Adobe Illustrator from Macromedia FreeHand or just wish to learn how
to use Adobe Illustrator in a cartographic environment. Adobe
Illustrator versions CS2 and CS3 will be used during the Workshop.
As numbers will be limited, early booking is strongly advised.
Deadline 1 June 2007.
