In the long run I hope we will abandon the requirement of being  
"traceable" (other than writing an IP number to a log file) and  
requiring an account. Yes, spam and copyrighted stuff are a problem,  
but Wikipedia can deal with it, and I hope that we too find a way of  
dealing with it *without* requiring the user to give us information  
about himself.
