For Mapnik rendering make sure you liaise with Artem and ensure that the latest style sheet is available (in SVN?). He and I worked through some style changes recently and it would be good to see these reflected in the next round of renders.
Cheers

The re-rendering is only semi-working and is backlogged by about 2 weeks
worth of tiles. At this moment in time there are 525955 tiles waiting to
be re-rendered (dating from 2007-04-28+).
I have been running the script manually and identified that the
rendering code crashed when processing tiles with certain names.
When this happened the 'bad' tile would get left in the dirty list
blocking all future re-renderings.
The bug has been tracked down to an issue with Mapnik rendering names
which start with the UTF-8 sequence e2 80 8c (a "ZERO WIDTH
NON-JOINER"). I have search the Postgres rendering DB for all such
strings and have removed this character from them (ways 4294988,
4295399, 4313895, 4361612). I have alerted Artem to the issue in mapnik.
I'll continue to monitor the rendering scripts and fix any more problems
which arise.
At the current rate of rendering I estimate that the backlog will be
cleared in the next 24 hours (ETA finishing 14:30 BST Sunday 13th May).
If you are desperate to get a few tiles re-rendered then I can run them
through the scripts manually -- you'll need to supply me with a list of
tile x,y,z or URLs e.g. http://tile.openstreetmap.org/12/1921/1972.png
Send the tile list to me directly, don't copy the mailing list.
Jon
