[OSM-talk] Reduce osm jile size in JOSM

Hi all,

Is there a convenient way to reduce the extents of an osm file by
removing data without deleting anything (since this would delete the
data from the server at the next upload)?

I have a file with lots of stuff in it that I don't currently need.  I
would like te get rid of that for now without having to re-download
the data I am currently working on.
