[OSM-talk] 500 errors

I was able to use potlatch yesterday and then I though OSM was returning to
old stable self.

But right now I'm getting lots of 500 errors, both on the web and with JOSM
and some of my T at H requests either don't get done or they end up as "blank
land", so T at H servers are also hitting 500 errors.

Are they due to genuine bugs or is the server just plainly overloaded ? If
the server is overloaded wouldn't it help if we killed all the requests to
rerender the complete UK, Scandinavia and Poland ? Or take some other
measures so that those of us with new data can commit it to the database
while the trips we undertook 2 weeks ago is still fresh in our memories ?
