[OSM-talk] altitude information

Hello,

I am wondering if osm is using the GPS altitude information in any way. At 
least for bike in areas with significant altiude deltas that would be very 
useful. If osm is not using them, is there another project which collects and 
uses them (maybe as an osm overlay).

I think just collecting the data on osm would be not enough there should be at 
least a simple surfact computation which calculates iso lines.
