The car_sharing tag itself seems ok and should be included ASAP IMO.

But I'm afraid, the proposal page about "car sharing" 
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/Proposed_features/car_sharing 
really was a mess and was just *not ready for voting* at all and needed 
a cleanup first - I don't know on which tagset the people actually voted 
upon?!?

Without reading all the comments you couldn't even get an idea about how 
to tag things, so IMHO it should not be approved that way.

I've moved the former discussion / voting sections to the wiki 
discussion page, and summed up the last proposal the best I could.


Please have a look at the current proposal. Unless there are no more 
real doubts, this page is probably *now* ready for a voting ...
