We do now have per-object rollbacks. It's just not live yet because  
I'm waiting for peer review of the code, as per previous messages.

(With hindsight, this ideal of getting people to review the code  
before it goes live doesn't seem to work, sadly. Next time there's a  
similar major development, I'll probably just commit it and let any  
bugs work themselves out. :( )
