Subject: [OSM-talk] Does Osmarender do rounding for the corners of
buildings?
Hi,
I have a feeling that Osmarender is using curves when it renders buildings.
Have a look at
http://openstreetmap.org/?lat=60.1678&lon=24.93143&zoom=17&layers=0BF
The building called "Sähkötalo" seems to have tags for both "landuse" and
"building" and therefore the it is drawn out in two different ways. I think
that more often it would be better to render buildings without using curves,
even if there are buildings which really have round shapes. A pavillion
between Radisson SAS and miniroundabout is actually such, meanwhile the
hotel itself does not have rounded edges in real life.
