Taxi drivers may be a good source of information, but I think nothing beats 
driving schools. You could probably even ask them to go to specific 
locations. In my area we have very good Yahoo coverage and I don't need any 
gps-traces, but otherwise I would have contacted them.

The big problem however is not gps-traces, but the names, directions, 
limitations, ... of roads. That's the reason why yahoo-covered areas are not 
advancing that fast either.
