looks like there are some proposals already. I also like substation, rather
than sub_station. The  voting of the proposal  seems to be closed, however
there are more nice ideas.  If you  don't mind (and if I find time :-)  I
will  collect the other ideas of that proposal page, sum them up and open
the discussion again on

My philosophy is that OSM is more than a streetmap and more data cannot
hurt, because everybody can render his own map. Maybe somebody wants to make
a map of all power installations, who knows?
