if you want to use the Google Maps api, you can check out this little page I
made: 

http://maps.zuijlen.eu/osm.php 

it show a mapnik and a osmarender layer in a google maps interface. this
page uses the tileservers on tile.openstreetmap.org and
tah.dev.openstreetmap.org, but you can ofcourse also use your own
tileserver.

you can see the full source (including php) of the mentioned page on
http://maps.zuijlen.eu/osm.phps , you only need to get your own google maps
api key for it to work on your own website.
