[OSM-talk] canals in tunnels not being rendered correctly?

I have tried to encoded a canal in a tunnel in north London using
'tunnel=yes' and 'layer=-1' and it is still being rendered on the surface
(from Rodney Street to Danbury Street) after a couple of weeks by both
Mapnik and Osmarender.
