Hello to everybody.
My name is Fabrizio Giudici and up to now I've been a user of OSM -
I've integrated support for it in an opensource application I'm
writing for photo manipulation (http://bluemarine.tidalwave.it/):
blueMarine allows to geotag photos by dragging and dropping them on a
map, and OSM is one of the default providers.
Now I'd like to start giving something back. blueMarine also keeps a
database of users' trips and in the last year I've recorded all my
leisure trips. I understand that GPS tracks should be uploaded in GPX
format and I've started writing a plugin for exporting trips in that
format. I'd like to know if you repute feasible/appropriate/friendly
if I develop a specific plugin for my application that directly
uploads the stuff with no need for external tools. In case you
approve, I'd like to show the plugin at some conferences I'll be
showing blueMarine in the following months.
Thank you for your attention.
PS Also a technical question. My recorded tracks' data are sampled
every 10 seconds - is it acceptable or is it too low?
