[OSM-talk] Are you mapping properly?

Someone on the ordnancemaps at yahoogroups.co.uk  posted a link to a historical
document that the OS has made available on its website. Published by the OS
in 1905, but based on details from 10 years earlier, it sets out the
instructions to field surveyors. Looking down the instructions it is
surprising what little has changed. Mostly the recommendations hold true
today and can be used as a basis for good practice in OSM. Perhaps someone
with time might like to use it as a basis for setting out an OSM mapping
best practices guidelines on the wiki?
