It's beginning to look to me like potlach is too dangerous to allow
casual use because it doesn't have an explicit submit function for
changes. Mind as someone non fluent in JOSM I shall still use it to
check what I have done.

I can see there being no history available if a node is deleted but
the way should still show a history of having been edited.
