I'm testing Mobile Trail Explorer at
http://www.substanceofcode.com/2008/08/05/mobile-trail-explorer-v111/.
It has a new voice annotation feature and looks very convenient.

is there already an application for the N810 which can set waypoints with 
voice annotations?

Even better would be to have a live editor for it. Unfortunately JOSM runs 
very slow on the device; it would be a really cool combo to map housenumbers

otherwise.
