I'd say this is what we have trac for. At present you would have to file duplicate tickets for tiles at home and mapnik, perhaps we should have a separate category for rendering that applies to both renderers, though I'm not sure that's such a great idea given that generally different people work on each renderer.

File a ticket in trac, I try to have a go at osmarender tickets every now and again.

They certainly seem to be in the osmarender stylesheet, could you point me to an example of a place where it should have shown up?
