Well traffic speeds are generally much lower in the US than Europe, so
I'm sure that more than compensates. And while much of the US is deeply
pedestrian and cycle unfriendly, this aspect of American driving makes
for a somewhat more pleasant walking environment than in the UK at least.
Anyway, enough, this is OT.
