[OSM-talk] Street mapping novice needs some help

The slippy map is magic by OpenLayers.
A quick search of the OSM wiki reveals this would be a good starting place:
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/OpenLayers
And I just found theres a simple POI example there, brilliant.
For some stuff you may want to look at the OpenLayers documentation/examples
rather than the OSM stuff. (though I don't remember it being explained much,
they had a number of examples)
