The "right way" is a relative concept. Zoom out a bit and you'll see
that due to an error in the south american coastline a large chunk of
the atlantic ocean in considered land. Relative to the *that* the
island is indeed wrong, but relative to the real world it is currently
correct.
i.e. fix the south american coastline and it will solve itself.
