The benefit of having the OSM mapping on the SD card (I download from
Cloudmade) means you always can see what has and has not already been
mapped. very helpful when visiting an area you are unfamiliar with.

The other benefit of the SD card is that as it logs a new file to the card
each day, you don't need to every worry about running out of space. This
switch on and use approach is far more flexible than with older models.

Battery life is pretty good too. I find I can map all day on a pair of high
mAh rechargeable AA's.
