So you suggest the community negotiates one list with defaults for each
type of road that applies worldwide? Mappers have to apply appropriate
tags on roads (countries) that don't fit this default?
That does not solve the problem where mappers visit a foreign country.
They still need to do a lookup to see which tags should be applied. It
only makes it easier for end users (e.g. route planners).
PS. Does this mean that Gosmore will soon obey to maxspeed tags? ;-)
